Get in touch

Especially if you think a number here is wrong. The arithmetic is published so it can be checked.

Last updated

The most useful message you can send is a correction. Every figure on this site is either cited or computed on the page, which means mistakes are findable — and we would much rather hear about one from you than leave it standing.

Email works too: info@swimandsolar.com. It is the only address this site has.

What we can help with

  • An error in a calculation. Tell us which page and what you think the number should be. We check it against the source, fix it, and date-stamp the correction.
  • A source that has moved or died. Genuinely useful — a dead citation is worse than no citation on a site like this.
  • A figure that has changed. Energy prices move, manufacturers revise specifications, products get discontinued.
  • A product we should cover. Especially one where the manufacturer publishes something useful, which in this category is rare enough to be notable.

What we cannot help with

Being straight about this saves you writing and us replying:

  • Installation, repair or servicing. We are a publisher with no premises, no engineers and no service area. Anything involving gas lines, electrical work or plumbing needs a licensed local professional, not a website.
  • Water chemistry, filtration or cleaning. Outside what this site knows properly.
  • Warranty claims or order problems. We are not the retailer. If you bought through a link here, the retailer holds the order and the warranty.
  • Choosing between two specific products for your pool in a way that goes beyond what is already published here. If we knew something more, it would be on the page.

Requests for links or placements

We do not sell placements, accept sponsored posts, publish guest articles or trade links, and no advertiser has editorial input here. That is set out in full on the editorial policy and the disclosure page. Messages of that kind will not get a reply, and we would rather tell you that up front than waste your time.

Before you write about a temperature figure

A large share of the disagreement in this subject comes down to three different quantities being reported as one — daytime gain, overnight retention, and cumulative equilibrium. If a number here looks wrong against something you have read elsewhere, our reconciliation of those figures may already explain the gap. If it does not, please do write.
